Ministry of Education and Science of Russia will increase the number of quotas for free education for international students

The number of international applicants who wish to get into Russian universities increases every year. Over the past three years, the number of foreign students studying full time at Russian universities has increased by 20 percent.

There are 270 000 foreign students from different countries are studying in Russia now. This year, there are 18,000 international students used Russian government quotas to study. The number of educational quotas were allocated for students from 175 countries around the world.

In December 2020 the Russian government confirmed the decision to increase the number of scholarships for international students from 18 000 to 30 000 till 2024.
