Lomonosov Moscow State University, Saint Petersburg State University and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology were listed in the top 50 universities worldwide in the world in the Three University Missions Ranking. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of RAEX.

The international Three University Missions Ranking evaluates higher education institutions based on three parameters: education, science and interaction with society. For evaluation, experts use university reports and data from respected international information providers.

The rating has 1800 institutions. This year it includes universities from 103 countries including 146 universities of the Russian Federation.

Moscow State University has occupied the 18th place, Saint Petersburg State University has taken the 35th place, and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology has occupied the 44th position.

Harvard has become the leader of the rating, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has taken the second place. Then we can see Cambridge, Oxford and University College London.

According to rating publisher, the majority of the best universities in the world are located in European countries - 593 universities. It is almost a third of the rating. Asia has almost 30% of the best universities - 539 universities. Then we might observe North America - 15.9%. The Russian participation amounts to 8.1%, and the total result for universities in South and Central America is 7.2%.

The competitive advantages of Russia include a successful students' participation in international Olympiads, a high percentage of international students, and a variety of online courses. Based on the parameter "the percentage of international students", the leading universities of the Russian Federation exceeded the global average level for the first time in the last year, and this year this value has increased further: the Russian universities have increased the number of international students by 12.3%, while the global average level has decreased by 11.4%.

We would like to remind you that admission offices in many Russian universities have been still working for international applicants. Do not lose your chance and submit documents, pass exams and become a student this year.
