Important Update for Students!

From April 25, 2024, to December 31, 2025, an experiment will be launched in Russia to transition student IDs and credit books (grade transcripts) to electronic format. 📱

🎓 What does this mean for students?

Student IDs and grade transcripts will be available in the form of a QR code in the personal account on the public services portal of the Russian Federation - Gosuslugi and in the mobile application. With these, students will be able to:

- Access educational institutions;

- Purchase discounted tickets for transportation, theaters, museums, cinemas, and concert halls.

👉 Noteworthy: Traditional paper documents will also remain valid, allowing everyone to choose the option that suits them best.

🌐 How to register on the public services portal of the Russian Federation as a foreign citizen?

Step 1: Registration1

Select "Another registration method" on the registration page.

2. Enter your full name, email, and, if available, a Russian phone number.

3. Confirm registration via the link in the email or SMS code.

4. Set a password.

Step 2: Data

1. Obtain an Individual Insurance Account Number (SNILS) if you don't have one. For this, you will need a foreign citizen passport or residence permit - the documents must be translated into Russian and notarized. Order SNILS at the Pension Fund office.

2. Enter passport and SNILS data in your personal account for automatic verification.

Step 3: Identity

1. Connect a Russian phone number.

2. Confirm your identity online through a bank or in person at a service center.

After these steps, you will have full access to all services on the public services portal.
