Admission rules
- 1To collect a folder of required documents for admission: a copy of valid international passport, a copy of the document on graduation with transcript, a certificate of recognition, photograph (3 x 4 cm). All documents must be translated into Russian and notarized or consul-certified.
- 2Entrance exams. The exams can be passed remotely (online) or in the candidate's personal presence (offline).
- 3To pay tuition fees
- 4Medical Certificate indicating the absence of HIV infection and contraindications to studying in the country
Russian student visa
Student visas in Russia are required for students from most foreign countries. Russia is not a member state of the EU/EFTA, so the EU visa-free entry privilege does not apply for European students. Required Documents for Study Visas in Russia:
- 1A valid passport which will be valid for at least 18 months from the issue date of the visa and with at least two unmarked pages
- 2An official invitation letter from your chosen university
- 3Application form
- 4A certificate showing your HIV-negative status no older than 90 days
- 5A letter of consent from your parents and certified by a notary (if you're under 18)
- 6Photograph 3.5x4.5 cm

The city children hospital "In memory of saint coronation of their Imperial Majesties" was founded on 25th of May in 1905.
Saint-Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University was founded in 1925 as Academic and Research Institute of Maternal health and babyhood protection on the hospital basement on 7th of January in 1925.
For many decades, the University is an international center of higher medical education. Over the past half-century it graduated several thousand of foreign students from 70 countries from 4 continents. Currently, University is opened for students from over 50 countries. In University may be taken person of either sex, nation and race, regardless of political or religious beliefs of any state that has diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation.

Saint-Petersburg state pediatric medical university related agreements of cooperation and partnership with foreign medical organizations: The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (Houston, USA), Democritus University of Thrace (Alexandroupolis, Greece), Belarus State medical university (Minsk, Belarus), Mhitara Geraci's Erevan State medical university (Erevan, Armenia). It allows our students to take a part in international exchange programs. This work alows to improve educational level.

Our hospital is a federal medical organization with the one of the biggest scientific bases and acient traditions of Leningrad's pediatric school. We have a modern diagnostic technologies: multislice computer tomography, MRI, US-scanners, installation for radiologists, modern radioisotope laboratory and etc. Clinical and biochemical, bacteriological and virological laboratories allow to perform the entire spectrum of researchies at the advanced level. Our specialists work at the frontiers of modern science and implement new technologies into the practice.
