Admission rules

    To collect a folder of required documents for admission: a copy of valid international passport, a copy of the document on graduation with transcript, a certificate of recognition, photograph (3 x 4 cm). All documents must be translated into Russian and notarized or consul-certified.

    Entrance exams. The exams can be passed remotely (online) or in the candidate's personal presence (offline).

Russian student visa
Student visas in Russia are required for students from most foreign countries. Russia is not a member state of the EU/EFTA, so the EU visa-free entry privilege does not apply for European students. Required Documents for Study Visas in Russia:

    A valid passport which will be valid for at least 18 months from the issue date of the visa and with at least two unmarked pages

About university & International cooperation & Educational process
The University was founded on 5th February, 1960 by the USSR Government. On 22nd February, 1961, the RUDN University was named after Patrice Lumumba — one of the symbols of the African peoples' fight for independence. Students and academics could be free to pursue their learning, teaching, and research activities at , without being subject to political context, but firmly directed to the grand principles of friendship and mutual support.On February 5, 1992, by the decision of the Government of Russia, the University was renamed to Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.

RUDN University is a multidisciplinary university, uniting more than 33 thousand undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, residents and interns from 157 countries. Multinationality is one of the main features of the university. The multi-level system of higher education (bachelor's, master's, post-graduate (PhD programs) and residency) at 5 faculties, 11 institutes and 1 academy provide students with opportunities for quality education.

RUDN University has more than 150 educational programs with leading foreign universities. In the academic year 2018/2019, there were 102 double degree programs, including 56 programs within the CIS Network University and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization University and 46 bilateral cooperation programs with partner universities from the UK, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, China and France.

The university has traditionally strong scientific schools in the following areas: mathematics, physics, medicine, chemistry and foreign languages. RUDN University conducts research in the field of medical microbiology, pharmacy, fine chemistry, green infrastructure, remote sensing of the Earth, quality control of medicines and engineering technologies.
RUDN University has a high international status in the field of higher education. Being a member of many international organizations RUDN University frequently acts as an expert-University in the sphere of higher education problems.

RUDN University participates in programs and forums of the UN, UNESCO, and EU Council. The university has a Comparative Politics Department with the status of a UNESCO department.

Students' research initiatives and projects are discussed and implemented in scientific circles and students' scientific societies of faculties, institutes, academies. Nowadays, there are more than 500 active members from different countries of the world at Students' Scientific Society of the RUDN. Students represent the university at scientific conferences, competitions, skills contests, tournaments. Students' Scientific Society Activity: Teaching students the principles of academic communication (work with academic sources and references, academic papers and proceedings preparation, delivering reports at a seminar or conference) and academic ethics.

Preparation and conducting of the annual Festival of Science at the university, where RUDN students present their scientific projects and inventions, share challenging scientific facts with the guests of the Festival, see them around RUDN laboratories Students' school of innovative development. Every spring students have an opportunity to attend master classes, workshops and lectures. The highlights of the school programme are: how to find an interesting theme for research, how to work with information sources, how to protect intellectual property, how to present one's project, etc
